# Take Deal Registrations Through a Public Link

Give partners one public link where they can register a deal with you, with no Fours account and no sign-in. Share it directly or embed it on your own site, choose who may submit, and review every registration in Partner Co-Sells.

---

## Overview

The **deal registration link** is a public page, branded with your company, where anyone who has the link can register a deal with you. You decide who may use it:

- **Any company** — your partners, and companies that aren't partners yet. A company Fours doesn't recognize can still register a deal, and you review the company and the deal together.
- **Connected partners only** — only companies already connected to you as partners. Anyone else is asked to apply to your partner program first.

Every registration that goes through arrives in **Partners → Partner Co-Sells** as an **Inbound** co-sell. What else Fours sets up depends on who submitted it — see [What Happens to a Submission](#what-happens-to-a-submission).

:::info
This page covers your side of the link. For what a partner sees and fills in, see [Register a Deal Through a Public Link](/prm/submit-a-deal-registration-partner/#register-a-deal-through-a-public-link).
:::

## Before You Start

- **Partner co-sell comes on with Partner Management.** The **Co-Sell** section under **Partners → Settings** is there whenever Partner Management is on for your organization, unless Fours has switched partner co-sell off for it, which hides this section and **Partner Co-Sells**.
- **Set your portal slug first.** The link is built from it, and until one is saved the card asks you to set up your partner portal URL. The slug is set under **Partners → Settings → Login Page**. See [Choose your portal slug](/prm/partner-portal-login-page/#choose-your-portal-slug).
- **You need an Admin or Editor role** to change these settings. See [Account](/get-started/account/).
- **Your deal registration form shapes the public page.** The page shows, hides, and marks as required the customer, deal, and collaboration fields the way your form sets them for a partner registering as the Referrer, address and **Use Case** included. It never asks **CRM Opportunity ID** or the **Revenue Share** fields, so a requirement on those doesn't apply there. **Next Steps** is shown and marked the same way, but what a submitter types there isn't carried into the registration you receive. See [Choose the Fields of Your Deal Registration Form](/prm/register-a-deal/#choose-the-fields-of-your-deal-registration-form).

## Turn On the Link

1. Go to **Fours Console**, then **Partners**.
2. Click **Settings** at the bottom of the rail, then **Co-Sell**.
3. On the **Deal registration link** card at the top of the tab, switch the toggle on. The rest of the card appears.
4. Under **Who can submit**, choose **Any company** or **Connected partners only**. See [Choose Who Can Submit](#choose-who-can-submit).
5. Optionally, list the sites that may embed the form under **Allowed embed domains**. See [Embed the Form on Your Site](#embed-the-form-on-your-site).
6. Click **Save**. Fours confirms with *"Deal registration link settings saved."*

One **Save** covers the whole card. It saves only this card's settings, so it never changes anything else on the Co-Sell tab, such as auto-accept.

## Share Your Link

With the toggle on, **Your link** shows the address partners use:

```
https://www.suger.io/deal-registration/{your-portal-slug}
```

The link is on `www.suger.io`, Fours' former address, which keeps serving this form so the links and embeds you've already shared keep working.

- **Copy link** copies it, ready for an email or your partner page.
- **Copy embed code** copies a ready-to-paste snippet for your website.
- **Preview** opens the live form in a new tab.

You can't edit the link here. It's built from your organization's portal slug, the same one your partner portal and branded login page use. Changing the slug changes all of those links at once, and every link you've already shared stops working, which is why Fours asks you to confirm a slug change before saving it.

### Embed the Form on Your Site

The embed code places the form in an `<iframe>` that resizes to fit its content. It only loads on sites you allow:

1. Under **Allowed embed domains**, enter each site that may embed the form, one per line, for example `https://partners.example.com`. A bare host such as `partners.example.com` is saved as `https://partners.example.com`, and a leading `*.` allows every subdomain.
2. Click **Save**. If an entry isn't a plain site address, Fours names it (*"Invalid embed domain(s): …"*) and saves nothing.
3. Paste the snippet from **Copy embed code** into your page.

Leave the list empty to block embedding. The direct link keeps working either way.

:::warning
**Your organization has one embed allowlist.** The same list decides where your [partner sign-up forms](/prm/partner-registration-form/#embed-the-form-on-your-website) can be embedded, and **Partners → Settings → Sign Up Forms** edits it too. Whichever screen saves last wins.

## Choose Who Can Submit

| Option | A connected partner | A company that isn't connected |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Any company** (the default) | The deal goes straight to you for review. | Can still submit. Fours holds the deal so you can review the company and the deal together. |
| **Connected partners only** | The deal goes straight to you for review. | Is told they aren't connected yet and sees no deal form, only a button to apply to your partner program. |

**What counts as connected.** Fours takes the domain of the submitter's work email and looks for your partner with that domain. The company counts as connected only when that partner is:

- **Active** — a company you invited that hasn't accepted yet, or one Fours only suggested, doesn't count;
- **a linked Fours organization**; and
- **the only partner record with that domain**. If two of your partner records share it, Fours doesn't guess, and treats the submitter as not connected.

The form checks this as soon as the submitter enters their work email, and tells them what will happen to their deal before they fill anything else in.

Under **Connected partners only**, the **Apply to be a partner** button opens your default application form. See [Choose Your Default Application Form](/prm/partner-registration-form/#choose-your-default-application-form).

## What Happens to a Submission

```d2
shape: sequence_diagram
partner: "Partner or prospect"
publicform: "Your public link"
suger: Fours
you: "You (Admin or Editor)"
partner -> publicform: "Enter a work email"
publicform -> suger: "Is this domain a connected partner?"
suger -> publicform: "Yes or no" { style.stroke-dash: 4 }
partner -> publicform: "Fill in the deal, click Register deal"
publicform -> suger: "Submit the deal"
connected: "Connected partner" {
  suger -> you: "Inbound co-sell, Pending Acceptance\n(unless your auto-accept settings accept it)"
}
held: "Not connected, Any company" {
  suger -> you: "Inbound co-sell, Pending Acceptance,\nplus a Pending application"
}
approve: "Held deal, optional: approve the application first" {
  you -> suger: "Approve the application"
  suger -> partner: "The company is connected and gets its own\ncopy of the deal, Pending Acceptance" { style.stroke-dash: 4 }
}
you -> suger: "Accept & Complete"
suger -> partner: "Held deal: the company is your partner and\nits own copy of the deal is active" { style.stroke-dash: 4 }
```

| Submission | What Fours does | What you see |
| --- | --- | --- |
| From a connected partner | Registers the deal as if the partner had created it in their own portal. | An **Inbound** co-sell in **Partner Co-Sells**, `Pending Acceptance` — unless your [auto-accept settings](/cosell/cosell-configuration/#auto-accept-referrals) accept it for you. |
| From a company that isn't connected, under **Any company** | Holds the deal. If you already have a partner record for the company, Fours uses it and leaves it as it is. Otherwise it creates a `PENDING` one, names it after the email domain (`acme.com` becomes **Acme**), and makes the submitter its champion contact. It also raises an application for the company. | The same **Inbound** co-sell, `Pending Acceptance`, and a **Pending** application under **Partners → Applications**. |
| From a company that isn't connected, under **Connected partners only** | Refuses it. Nothing is created. | Nothing. |
| From an email on your own company's domain | Refuses it, because a deal registered with yourself has no partner side. | Nothing. |
| From a personal email address, such as Gmail or Outlook | Refuses it, whichever **Who can submit** option you chose, and asks the submitter to register the deal with their work email. Nothing is created. | Nothing. |
| While the link is switched off | Refuses it. The link shows a closed notice with your branding instead of the form. | Nothing. |

**One application per company, not one per deal.** As long as a company has a pending or approved application, further deals from it are held against that application instead of raising another. Only when it has none — for example, after you've declined its only one — does its next deal raise a fresh application.

## Decide a Held Registration

You decide a held deal in **Partner Co-Sells**, like any inbound deal. See [Respond to an Inbound Deal](/prm/track-and-respond-to-deals/#respond-to-an-inbound-deal). What each decision does is different, because the company isn't your partner yet:

| You | What happens |
| --- | --- |
| **Accept & Complete** the co-sell | The **Accept & Complete Co-Sell** window warns you first: *"Accepting this co-sell will also accept your partnership with {company}. Your partnership invitation is currently pending. Accepting this deal connects the two companies — they will get portal access and see deals you share with them."* It says *declined* or *expired* instead of *pending* when that's where the application stands. The warning doesn't appear once the application is **Accepted**. When you accept, the company becomes your partner. Fours links the company's Fours organization, or creates one, makes the partnership active, and gives the partner their own copy of the deal, carrying the commission terms you set when accepting. If you approved the company's application first, the copy it already has becomes active instead, with those terms. It also marks the company's application **Accepted** — even if you had already declined it or it had expired. When Fours has to create the organization, the partner record's champion contact becomes its admin; on a record the submission created, that's the person who submitted the deal. |
| **Reject** the co-sell | Only the deal is rejected. The company's application and its partner record stay as they are, so you can still take the company on as a partner. |
| Approve or decline the **application** | Settles the application the way it settles any application. See [Review Partner Applications](/prm/collaborations/#review-partner-applications). Approving also connects the company: as long as the submitter's work email is on the company's domain, Fours links its Fours organization or creates one, adds the submitter to it, and gives the company its own copy of each deal held against the application that is still waiting for your decision, in `Pending Acceptance`. Either way, the co-sell stays in Partner Co-Sells, waiting for you to accept or reject it. |

While the application a held registration raised is still **Pending**, the company counts as having an open request with you: you can't send it a partner invitation, and it can't apply through your sign-up form. Decide the deal or the application instead. See [One Open Invitation per Company](/prm/invite-partners/#one-open-invitation-per-company).

## Emails

When a submission raises a new application, the two emails a [sign-up form](/prm/partner-registration-form/#review-applications) submission sends can go out: **Partner application received**, to your team, and **Partner application confirmation (to applicant)**, to the person who submitted. Whether each is sent is controlled under **Settings → Notification**. See [Email Notification](/settings/email-notification/).

## Pause the Link

Switch the toggle off and click **Save** to stop taking registrations. The address keeps working: anyone who opens it sees a notice, with your branding, that you aren't taking deal registrations through this link right now. Links you've already shared don't break, and switching the toggle back on reopens them.
