# Get Started

Suger is a cloud go-to-market platform for selling and billing software through AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Snowflake, and Oracle marketplaces. This section is both the onboarding path for a team that is new to Suger and the reference for the console features every team keeps using once it is live.

Work through **Start here** in order if you are setting Suger up for the first time — Quick Start walks the path from signup to your first offer in about 30 minutes of hands-on work, with two waits you don't control: Suger approving your organization, and the cloud provider reviewing a new marketplace listing. The groups below cover the concepts the rest of the documentation assumes, the day-to-day screens in the console, and the APIs and webhooks that connect Suger to your own systems.

## Start here

1. **[Quick Start](/get-started/quick-start/)** — sign up, get approved, connect a cloud, create your first product and offer; ~30 minutes hands-on, plus the approval and listing-review waits.
2. **[Account](/get-started/account/)** — create your organization, turn on MFA, and invite your team with the right roles.
3. **[Connect Your First Cloud Marketplace](/get-started/connect-your-marketplace/)** — link the cloud you sell through so you can list products, create offers, and get paid.
4. **[Navigate the Suger Console](/get-started/navigate-console/)** — find your way around the left navigation and the top-bar tools.

## Understand how Suger works

Read these before you build — they define the vocabulary the rest of the documentation assumes.

- **[What Is Suger](/get-started/what-is-suger/)** — what the platform does and which marketplaces it covers.
- **[What Is a Cloud Marketplace](/get-started/what-is-cloud-marketplace/)** — how marketplaces work, and what each cloud requires before you can list.
- **[Resources](/get-started/resources/)** — products, offers, entitlements, and buyers, and how they map across marketplaces.
- **[Key Terms (Glossary)](/get-started/glossary/)** — plain-language definitions to refer back to when a term is unfamiliar.
- **[How You Get Paid (and What You Pay For)](/get-started/how-you-get-paid/)** — the two separate money flows, and why mixing them up is the most common source of confusion for new customers.
- **[GTM Team Ownership](/get-started/gtm-team-ownership/)** — which teams own the marketplace channel, and what each one does in Suger.
- **[Integration Timeline](/get-started/integration-timeline/)** — how long listing takes on AWS, Azure, and GCP; a net-new AWS listing runs about three weeks.

## Sell and manage deals

The objects you create and work with once a marketplace is connected.

- **[Products](/get-started/products/)** — browse, create, and manage your marketplace listings in one catalog.
- **[Companies](/get-started/company/)** — every customer account across your marketplaces, with its entitlements, offers, and activity.
- **[Private Offers](/get-started/private-offers/)** — track, share, and act on private offers across AWS, Azure, and GCP — cancel, clone, extend, notify contacts, and read each cloud's offer statuses.
- **[Direct Sales with Suger](/get-started/direct-sales/)** — how a deal flows when your team sells directly, self-serve or negotiated.
- **[Private Offer Field Mapping](/get-started/private-offer-mapping/)** — decide how Salesforce or HubSpot data populates the fields of a marketplace offer.

## Track usage, revenue, and cost

- **[Home Dashboard](/get-started/home-dashboard/)** — marketplace activity, revenue, and time-sensitive deals at a glance.
- **[Usage Metering](/get-started/metering/)** — one interface for reporting metered usage; the page lists which pricing models support it on each cloud.
- **[Usage Credit](/get-started/usage-credit/)** — grant credits against a customer's usage-based entitlement.
- **[Cloud Commits and Drawdown](/get-started/commit-drawdown/)** — when a purchase retires a buyer's committed cloud spend, and how the rules differ per cloud.
- **[Suger AI Billing](/insulin/billing/)** — what *you* pay Suger for AI features: what is metered, the monthly free credit, and your own spending limit. For billing *your* customers, see [Billing](/billing/) below.

## Manage records, exports, and notifications

- **[Files](/get-started/files/)** — legal agreements, order forms, brand assets, and integration logs in one place.
- **[Table Export](/get-started/table-export/)** — export table data to external storage, once or on a schedule.
- **[Email Notification](/get-started/email-notification/)** — choose who receives which Suger notification events.
- **[Contact Page](/get-started/contact-page/)** — manage the partner-facing contacts used in co-sell motions.
- **[Service Quotas](/get-started/quota/)** — the limits on how many resources you can provision, where to view them in console settings, and how to request an increase.

## Get unstuck

- **[FAQ](/get-started/faq/)** — the questions that come up in practice: AWS payments and tax, private offers and CPPO, listing changes, the client sign-up page, and the Salesforce and HubSpot integrations.

## Connect Suger to your systems

- **[API Access](/get-started/oauth-app/)** — call the Suger API with the OAuth 2.0 client-credentials flow.
- **[Webhook](/get-started/webhook/)** — subscribe to Suger events from your own backend.
- **[Signup URL Redirect](/get-started/signup-url-redirect/)** — send a buyer from the marketplace to your own signup page after purchase.

## Bill your customers and automate operations

- **[Billing](/billing/)** — meter, price, invoice, and collect payment from the customers you sell to.
- **[Workflow](/workflow/)** — automate operations with triggers, logic, and integration nodes, without writing code.

## Pick the marketplace you sell through

Listing, offers, and revenue are cloud-specific.

- **[AWS Marketplace](/aws-marketplace/)** — the broadest channel, with the most decisions to make up front: product type, a pricing model AWS locks at publication, and a review of your buyer experience.
- **[Azure Marketplace](/azure-marketplace/)** — everything runs through Microsoft Partner Center, and it is the only cloud offering both a time-bound private offer and a permanently priced private plan.
- **[Google Cloud Marketplace](/gcp-marketplace/)** — the longest run-up: Partner Advantage vendor approval and solution validation first, then listing approval in phases.
- **[Snowflake Marketplace](/snowflake-marketplace/)** — you sell a data product or application to consumers identified by Snowflake account, and a provider profile must exist before any paid listing.
- **[Alibaba Cloud Marketplace](/alibaba-marketplace/)** — one integration covers both the China and international markets, and you publish on Alibaba while Suger imports the product and runs the transactions.
- **[Oracle Cloud Marketplace](/oracle-marketplace/)** — the narrowest: published SaaS listings sync in hourly, and offers are a one-time contract value sent to a buyer's tenancy.

## Scope and limits

:::info
This section covers the Suger platform itself, not the per-cloud listing steps — those live in the marketplace sections above.

Suger applies service quotas to how many resources you can provision, so a large migration may need an increase before it fits.
